Forum Marketing Can Work !

It just takes time.
Forum marketing has recently been touted as a type of free, organic marketing. But because many marketers go into forums purely with the intention of marketing, their actions and attitude unwittingly causes exactly the opposite to its desired effect.

Forums, after all, are not marketplaces. But when used as such, the marketers' actions become offensive and will only inspire the wrath of fellow members and marketers, not to mention the moderators. Before a marketer can effectively market on forums, they must first understand that this type of marketing -- in order to be effective -- carries a certain degree of commitment, responsibility and respect.

To successfully market on any forum, the first requirement is to take a personal interest in the main topic of the forum. Not only does that mean visiting it regularly, but also developing a good relationship with both other members and the moderators, as well as taking an active interest in helping others. And, of course, it means abiding by any and all rules that exist.

By doing this, one develops a reputation and, since it is human nature to work with a trusted colleague, business will naturally develop from this. Because this type of marketing has already suffered some abuse, many forums have recently (and rightfully) developed stringent rules designed to protect their members from abusive or overly-aggressive marketing tactics.

One forum, for instance, grants signature files only after a member has created 100 valid posts; another has disallowed ads in sig files altogether. Marketers must respect that the purpose of a forum is to be a platform to exchange ideas on a given topic, NOT merely to advertise their wares. And, contrary to what might be thought, this is especially true in marketing forums, where EVERYONE has something to advertise. But by focusing on the topic and posting responsible questions and answers, a marketer's reputation will grow.

From this, the potential sales/sign-ups will naturally follow. Also, there are different types of forums, beyond the obvious topical types, of "marketing" or "special interest", etc. These are examples of one type of forum, referred to as "open forums." But there are also business and professional forums, which do not operate under the same rules and, more often than not, disallow any and all types of advertising or self-promotion.

Forums created to support the membership of a particular program are especially adamant on this topic and often request that all members check their adverts at the door. They ask this because advertising other programs -- especially to newer marketers -- can often compromise the very program the the forum was created to support.

With all that said, it is still possible to successfully market on forums. But in all cases, a pre-requisite for success is developing a good reputation and a good relationship and maintaining both. So, while this is a free form of advertising, it does require a certain amount of investment as far as time and energy are concerned, not to mention subtly and finesse. Below are seven practical suggestions to successfully market on forums.

DO YOUR HOMEWORK

Prior to joining any forums a certain amount of research is required.

1. Join relevant forums or forums that are in some way related to the promotion's primary sales market. For someone involved with a health related product, for instance, many types of forums -- from holistic medicine to mom's at home -- could apply. But to join a forum about punk music, for instance, would not be very productive.

2. Choose popular forums. Page ranking and the amount of active members are two good ways to check for this. This ensures that the forum will have enough members to remain active. Because forum marketing requires a certain amount of time invested, this also ensures that it will be there beyond tomorrow.

3. Choose forums that allow sig tags. If it's possible read the rules before joining and pay close attention to them. Your time is important, too. It is better to discover if a forum does not allow posts of any kind prior to joining.

YOUR FIRST DAY

4. Read and follow the rules. Every forum is different. Some allow links only to your own website. Others only allow a certain number of links. One forum allows no more than five lines in a sig file, for instance. Beyond .sig files, respect all the rules and be a model member. Complaints will also give you a bad reputation, whether you're aware of it or not.

5. Keep your signature tag short and update it regularly. Ideally, limit yourself to one link, preferably to your main website. It presents a much more professional appearance and is less offensive to members and the moderators.

6. NEVER, EVER create posts that are nothing more than an advertisement. This is an all-but universal rule and only displays the marketers lack of experience. At best, the post will soon be edited, and, if left on the forum (although an author can always delete their own posts), will only serve to hurt the marketer's reputation. At worst, it could be grounds for being banned.

Some forums have a special Advertisement Section, an area where all members can post ads, though they are usually limited to no more than one per day. If no such section exists, after being a member for at least a few weeks, a marketer can send a Private Message (PM) to the moderator(s) and politely suggest that an advertising section be added.

Point out that this would mollify any members from putting links in their .sig files, while allowing them a place to post their link. And, too, the advertising could become a service, since it would be at the members' discretion to view them. Of course, they may refuse, but at least you made the attempt.

7. Work the (for)room. That is, be an active member on the forum. Plan to spend at least an hour each day there and take the time to get to know the issues and other members. Depending on the forum's topic, both new and experienced marketers can introduce themselves well with intelligent questions.

As a marketer becomes a regular member, they will develop a (hopefully) good reputation and, without saying a word about their promotion, those interested in their product or promotion will approach THEM.

Financial Freedom

6 Major Spending Mistakes To Avoid in order to achieve Financial Freedom

Can't seem to get ahead financially? Debts piling up? Maybe you're making some of these mistake unknowingly. These mistakes listed below will help you understand where you may be going wrong and how to get back on track quickly. You can be debt free.

Mistake 1. Living Beyond Your Means

This is the real cause of your worry and stress. If you are spending more than you are earning, whose money are you spending? It's the credit card provider's or the bank's. The cost of this money is interest.

The way out - Make a Commitment to yourself only to spend within your income limits. Maybe you could increase your income (or cash in) by applying for more skilled positions, selling some of your unused articles or assets. Is the second car really a necessity? What about working out ways to make your hobby pay for itself?

Why not find ways to reduce your spending? How much would you save each year if you decided not to have the daily coffee shop coffee? Why not make your work lunch each day rather than buying it? Commit to only buying the necessities.

Mistake 2. Paying Off Less Than the Full Credit Card Balance Each Month

Get this debt under control and your life will be much easier. If you are like many others and only pay the minimum balance each month, the interest on the interest makes those purchases oh so expensive.

The way out - Find ways to put aside more money to apply to the credit cards. It will take time to reach this goal. However, if you don't make a start now you may never pay them off. This situation did not occur overnight and neither will the solution. But, by diligence and commitment you'll get there.

Mistake 3. Not Really Knowing Your Financial Situation

Before you can set meaningful goals and develop savings strategies you need to know your financial situation now. The best, proven and tested method by far, is by developing your own personal budget. This is not hard to do. Please don't give up now. Just follow these simple steps:

The way out -

a) Find your latest credit card statements. Write down all the unpaid balances.

b) Are there any other unpaid debts (not home or car) then include these balances as well.

c) List out your (or family) monthly income. Only the amounts "brought home". Include all types of income.

d) Work out your monthly spending. List out where all the money goes. Don't leave anything out.

e) Minus the monthly spending total from the monthly income total and review the answer.

This will give you an initial idea as to whether you are living within your means or on borrowed money.

Mistake 4. Continually Adding to Your Debt

If debt has got you into this situation it is critically important not to add to the state of affairs and thus make it worse.

The way out - cut up the credit cards, keeping only 1 for emergencies. Don't buy on impulse. Ask yourself twice or three times before you buy anything "Do I really need this?" before you hand over your hard-earned money. Don't buy at the height of the fashion or fad. Commit to never paying full retail for anything. Get it on sale or negotiate a lower price.

Mistake 5. Spending All Your Income

It may sound OK to spend any money you earn but there are risks attached to this strategy. How are you going to pay for emergency items? What about major car repairs. What about major electrical appliance replacement? Are you going to pay for these on credit? Bad idea! How are you going to save for a substantial deposit on the next car?

The way out - Once you've prepared your budget you will clearly see what you need to do to put some income aside for other needs such are emergencies and repairs.

Mistake 6. Spending Without Caring About Your Future

Unless you are planning for your future and financial security, you cannot be really happy. There are always worries lurking in your mind about how you would survive in a financial emergency if you have no savings. It can be very rewarding to see how quickly your savings multiply over time with only a small investment each payday.

The way out - Take stock of your life and realize that tomorrow won't look after itself. It needs your attention. Keep some funds aside to put away for your retirement, children's college costs, emergencies, holidays and major purchases.

Avoid these 6 spending mistakes and you'll be well on your way to financial freedom. Guaranteed.

Have a great week............................Ricky

Your Own E-Book , You Can Do It !!

Most of us want to say we are a author, we write books. Well lets get started.

Writing your first ebook may seem like a daunting task. But like many projects, it won’t seem so bad when it’s broken down into manageable chunks.

Like many things in life, what often seems impossible can be attained with the right attitude and the right equipment. It could be a marathon run, climbing a mountain or finding parking space at the supermarket.

If you want to play golf, you will need clubs, balls and some practice. There’s no guarantee you will become another Tiger Woods but you will become a golfer.

If you want to write an ebook, you will need a computer, software and some directions. Assuming you have a computer and software or access to them, here are some directions.

Establish Your Reasons
Your reasons for wanting to write an ebook will have a major impact on your success. It may be for financial gain, promoting a business, advancing your career, education, self satisfaction or something entirely different. Whatever your reasons, write them down. It will help to motivate you if the going gets tough.

Choose Your Subject
There are countless subjects that you can write about. It’s wise to choose something you have an interest in or knowledge of. It is worthwhile spending time on this. The more you know about your subject, the easier it will be to write about.

Choose Your Title
After you’ve chosen your subject, you’ll need a title for the ebook. It’s worth writing down a few different ones before deciding on the one you’ll use. This will help to keep your focus and may give you some other ideas. The title should give a clear indication of the content in your book. A catchy title may help to sell it, but remember to balance this with clarity to keep it in context. I’ve written down two examples. Feel free to use them if you have a sense of humor.

A Clubbers Paradise - Golfing in Ibiza
20 Minutes Late – The Future of Trains

Choose Your Audience
The subject and style of your writing will determine your audience. Decide who your desired audience will be. Age, gender, culture, social background and education are factors you may want to consider. What you write should be targeted at your desired audience.

Write Your Thesis Statement
Although it’s possible to write your ebook without a ‘thesis statement’, it is not recommended. If you are unfamiliar with this term, there are many sources available that will provide you with all the details you need. Unfortunately, there are some differences of opinion that may lead to confusion.

The ‘thesis statement’ deserves a separate article of its own but for now I have written a general definition of a thesis statement for ebooks. This may leave the door open for criticism but is a small price to pay if it removes some of the confusion. More importantly, it will give you a base on which to start. Only use it as a guideline. If you want a more specific definition, Google is a good place to start your search.

A thesis statement is a sentence or two written to clearly show the reason(s) for your ebook and what you expect to write about.

Although I have referred to this as a general definition, keep in mind that your actual statement should be as specific as possible.

Think of it as the foundation for your ebook. It should contain the following:

1) Your subject
2) Your opinion on the subject
3) A supporting reason for your opinion
4) The significance of 1), 2) and 3)

Create Your Document
Now that you have the foundation, you can begin writing.

A standard application like MS Word is a good choice.

While you are writing your document you can revise your thesis statement at any time up until it is published. This provides a good degree of flexibility.

Choose the format and layout of your document, including chapters, headings and introductions. Dependent on your subject, you may wish to add photographs, anecdotes or testimonials that keep the reader’s attention.

Since an ebook is generally read from a screen, you may want to break up the text more than in a printed book. Experiment with a few different fonts and look at other ebooks for ideas you can use. Spell check and save your document regularly. MS Word has an auto recovery feature. This is useful if you don’t save the document on a regular basis and later experience a system crash. Always backup your document. As a precaution you should also keep a copy on another media such as CD.

Choose Your Ebook Format
This is a personal choice. You may decide to create an executable (.exe) file or a Portable Document Format (.pdf) file. By no means an exhaustive list, here are some points to consider before you choose.

EXE files are compiled using an ebook compiler
EXE files may offer features that are not available with PDFs
EXE files can only be read on a PC
EXE files don’t require any other software to be read
EXE files are easy to open, easily branded, and good viral marketing tools
EXE files may be susceptible to viruses although some compilers offer virus protection

More information on the better compilers can be found at
http://www.ebook-site.com/ebook-compilers.html

PDF files can be created using Adobe Acrobat
PDF files can be created with several other 3rd party applications
PDF files are an industry standard
PDF files can be read by both PC and MAC
PDF files require Adobe Reader to be read
PDF files are highly unlikely to become infected

More information on PDFs can be found on the Adobe website (www.adobe.com)

Can Digg.com, work for you ?

Digg.com is another place to hopefully build traffic for your site.
In actual Case, Digg is used to discover and share content from anywhere on the internet. It can be done by voting for some news, submitting and commenting on others news or story. Can someone use Digg to get free traffic to a website?

It's quite controversial; on the one hand there are many who believe it's hard. And on the other hand some people have been successful. It looks like people have extreme opinions about it. Here success lies in being at the first page of the site. If your content is on the first page you are sure to expect hundreds if not thousands free visitor at your site. It is worth giving it a try as it does not require any kind of monetary investment.

Yes it does require time to invest. One can submit content to Digg, and then rely on other people to vote for it. That is what Digg is; to be on the first page one needs fairly good number of votes. There is a tough competition here. If you can get someone else to submit the content, that is better, and will give you a higher chance of getting the votes. Key is to attract the reader's attention quickly. This means that having an interesting headline and quality content. Readers are likely to read limited number of articles only.

One needs to give them a compelling reason to read.

Focus on topics which are current and hot right now, how to know which topics are hot and which are not? One way is to go through newspaper front page or television news. Once you have identified the topic, do some research about it, and create content on the topic. Make sure you do not copy paste something from any newspaper or news channel, you may end up violating copy right laws.

Other way is to go to yahoo, MSN and look for most searched news or topic, than create content around it. You can even ask for others opinion also. You are likely to get higher votes if you follow this. Also remember that readers are more likely to vote for something which can solve any of their problems or add any value to their knowledge level.

Key here is to know something about a product category which others may be interested to know. So if you write keeping readers in mind you will certainly get higher votes and ranking on first page, which will in turn bring free traffic to your website.

Thanks for coming..........................Ricky

Banner Advertising- Is it for you ??

Lets look at banners and see if it was for you.?????

Banner Advertising

Is Banner Advertising Important ?

In the world of marketing and Internet advertising there are several ways to make your business work and get your products noticed, a very popular tool that is used by search engine advertisers is referred to as PPC campaigns, a good example is Google Adwords, this product allows advertisers to show their services to potential customers by using a contextual system. PPC platforms are effective to some extent but more users are more attracted to a good looking banner than a simple and generic looking text link.

Despite the great success PPC campaigns have had, the use of banners has not decreased at all, on the contrary, more and more Internet advertisers are using them in order to drive visitors and potential sales to their websites.

Banners are very effective tools in search engine marketing because they have a good click through rate, in average a well-designed banner can pull five to 20% CTR, which is very impressive compared to simple text ads. There are several types of banners as well as sizes and shapes, each one is designed with a different purpose in mind which makes them perform very well.

Some are very effective if you place them at the top of your website or your website header, others will drive a lot of clicks if you place them within your content as an illustration and footer banners perform really well if they are particularly large.

Websites are usually divided into several regions, these regions may cover the sidebar, the content, the header and the footer. Banner used in the header may vary in size, some normal sizes are 700 x 100, 720 x 100, and some websites even use 640 x 88 banners; advertisements which are placed on the sidebars are usually vertical, you may use square or vertical images, popular sizes are 100 x 100, 250 x 250, 100 x 700, 80 x 468, and so on.

Those placed within your website's footer are different because they are meant to grab a visitors attention before they leave the site, you may use a particularly large advertisements in this area however, you must pay attention to the file size because keeping a fast loading website is also important for your search engine optimization efforts.

The technology used to create these visual advertisements varies, some banner design firms may use GIF formats to create their ads, some banner designers may use flash technologies to create more animated products which will obviously bring more clicks than visitors to a client's website.

Choosing the right banner design firm is critical for your success, you must always pay attention to their level of expertise, website design, and prices quoted for each and every project, a good banner designer will work with different technologies in order to create visually appealing material according to your requests.

Finding out what their turnaround time is should also be in your to-do list because some promotions and programs are created to be time sensitive, in other words, you would not run an advertisement which was meant for the winter season during summer, or a promotion which was meant for Christmas during Easter just because your Banner designer failed to deliver the content on time. Creating a checklist is perhaps the most important tool when it comes to choosing the right banner designer or Banner design firm.

Hey Monday Morning

How about free ways to drive more traffic to your web site. Here we go ......

The Five Free Methods

The five methods listed here are really excellent and proven to achieve the closest results you wish and can always be applied directly. Unlike purchasing your own advertising, these methods are free but of course, they require the most of your attention and hard work.

1. Make sure your website is optimized for search engines as far as possible. Any traffic you achieve from search engines is always free. To have your website optimized, ensure that the website contains articles with a lot of keywords. When you write articles for your website, about 400-900 words, you can generate a lot of visits more often. Be sure to include catchy titles to entice visitors to read them. However, this may not likely generate the traffic you have always wanted, this could be your first step in making your website successful. In addition, you could always submit all your articles to article directories and contact publishers if they wish to use your articles on either their mailing list or website. Have your articles contain heavy keywords so that they may also appear on top of most search engine results.

2. Join link exchange programs. Nowadays, there are a lot of webmasters who invite other webmasters to take part in link exchange programs. When someone's website is linked to yours, you'll have the chance of being visited by people who visit those websites. To do this, you can look out for websites that are similarly related to yours and allow the owners of these websites to exchange links. Make use of an anchor text for the link as it will aid your search engine rankings.

3. Allow joint ventures. Joint ventures could be very powerful if done in the right way. Give your partners some really good reasons why they should promote your site. By providing them with the right promotional tools such as e-mails, signatures, articles, etc., he/she would no doubt accept your request. To ensure that your website gets better results, look for website owners that have the capability of sending a lot of traffic to you.

4. Join online groups, forums, etc. that could help you with promoting your website. For example, you may post your sites URL in your signature file for the users to see. So you can be a known member by the discussion groups you join, simply participate in discussions that interest you and contribute your knowledge and expertise to the rest of the members.

5. Get a free blog. Blogging is another free method that generates traffic to your website. Post some high-quality information regularly and don't forget to ping all your posts as it can help in driving traffic to your website.

Good luck to everyone ,on making this your best year 2009.............Ricky

TGIF- More on the Affiliate Marketing Sales

A Sure Fire Guide in Driving Targeted Traffic and Increase Sales

There are a number of keys to making sales online.

Obviously, there is the product itself. Is it something that people actually want? Can they afford it? Are they willing to pay for it? Is the market reachable online? These are all questions that have to be asked during your marketing research, before you pick your product.

Then there is the sales copy. The quality and power of the sales copy is another very important key to making sales. It the copy is flat, then even if the product is wanted in a good reachable market, then sales will be low.

Of course the headline is the most important key to the sales copy. If the headline does not get the readers attention and draw them into the rest of the copy, then even the greatest sales letter in the world will not get read. And of course, if the sales copy is not read, there will be no sales.

But if there is no traffic to the website sales letter, then there will be no one reading the headline or the sales copy and likewise no sales.

So, if you want to make sales, you must figure out a way to drive traffic to your website. But not all traffic is created equal.

Random or untargeted traffic is worthless. In fact, it is worse then worthless, it consumes time and resources but returns no sales. It is a drag on your business.

What you really need is targeted traffic. That is, traffic that is actually interested in and looking for what you are selling. If you can match a desirable product in a reachable market, with highly interested visitors, then you will have a winner.

So, how do you drive targeted traffic to your website?

There are a number of ways, some more efficient than others.

Let's take a look at a few.

1. Pay Per Click. Pay Per Click traffic is targeted because it is delivered from people who were actively searching for something and were attracted by your ad enough to click on it by their own choice. Check out Google AdWords at: http://www.google.com/ads/

2. Articles. you can get targeted traffic by writing articles such as this article and sending them to ezine publishers that publish ezines in your target niche or to article directories. A link to your website should be placed in your resource box at the bottom of your article. If the article is good and gets published in popular ezines in your niche, you should see some good targeted traffic as a result. You can get help distributing your articles quickly at sites such as http://www.ArticleMarketer.com or http://www.isnare.com

3. Press Releases. A good press release with a link back to your website will also generate targeted traffic because only people who read your press release and were interested in the subject matter will bother click the link to your website for more information. For more information on this technique see http://www.PRWeb.com

4. Reciprocal Linking. If you establish reciprocal links from other sites within your industry niche, there will be some level of targeted traffic that will come to you through those links. The key to getting targeted traffic from reciprocal linking, is establishing links with other sites within your target niche.

5. Blogging. Create a blog with occasional links back to your website and blog about topics of interest to your target niche.

6. Syndicating your blog. Submit your blog to major blog directories such as feedster.com, technorati.com and blogstreet.com.

7. Publish an Ezine. If you ezine is good, you will find interested subscribers will also visit your website if you place a link to it in your signature file.

8. Give away free reports. Provide good solid useful information in your reports with a link back to your website. More information on this tactic can be found at http://www.MiniEbookProfits.com

9. Create a community forum on your site. A good forum based on your targeted niche will draw potential customers who are interested in what you have to sell.

10. Buy your traffic.

a. Create an affiliate program and pay your affiliates a share of the profits,
b. Purchase advertising on other websites.
c. Advertise in ezines.
d. Advertise offline with your website URL in the ad.
e. Purchase traffic from a web traffic service.

WARNING about that last tip. You have to be careful when purchasing traffic from a web traffic service. Many such services will send untargeted traffic to your site from expired domains, pop-unders, or other untargeted sources. Some will even cheat and send what appear in your logs to be hits, but in reality no real visitor came to your site. If you purchase 10,000 visitors and get no sales, then you either have a terrible conversion problem or you have been taken by the web traffic service sending bogus hits.

The bottom line is, that all other things being equal, the more highly targeted traffic you can drive to your site the greater will be the number of sales you make. Always be on the lookout for good sources of targeted traffic and forget all the systems that tell you they will send you a large amount of traffic, but their traffic is untargeted.

Read a lot of info and you decide on which way is the best for you.

Good luck..............................Ricky

Thursday- Affiliate Marketing ? Work for you ?

A few more words on this.............From Me( Ricky)

Many small business ideas and Internet based affiliate marketing opportunities look as if it will be easy money and fast money if you join them.

That couldn't be further from the truth. It will take time and money to build an online business the same as it does for any type of business online or off.

By understanding some of the most common mistakes made by new Internet marketers you can shorten the time it takes to build your business and often lower the cost. No one can guarantee your success.

By understanding some common mistakes you can lesson the odds of failure and increase your chances of success.

1. Joining an online business based on the look of their web site and banners is a major mistake. Many online opportunities try to entice newbies with fancy web pages and banners but offer very little else.

Researching each opportunity you are interested in is the key to making a smart decision. Searching for products that offer a wide consumer base and are in a Niche market will promote success.

2. Do not spread yourself to thin. Attempting to promote to many affiliate products can ultimately destroy your business. While it is good to have a variety of products attempting to sell too many will be hard to control. Choose products that relate to each other and will help build upon each other. Offering your business partners an opportunity to join free link exchanges and other free promotional products that you have joined will help you grow your business.

Having 4 -5 affiliate opportunities and products including the promotional opportunities can help assure not only your success but that of your affiliate partners as well.

3. The biggest mistake I have seen is to think Internet based affiliate marketing is a free and easy way to make money. There is no need to be a fully trained Internet marketer before you start but you need to plan the time to learn the business. The opportunities you join should have a training area and a step by step plan for success.

Also, take the time to search out online training materials. The Internet is full of free training that will help you build your marketing knowledge. Once you have found the training materials you need take the time everyday to study and to learn as much about online business marketing as you can.

4. The majority of online business opportunities will supply you with free web pages designed to promote your business and gather new customers. You will need more than these pages to be successful. Having your own web site and personal domain name will give you much more credibility and is a must for an online business. When building your web site you want it to have a professional appeal by being neatly organized.

Your content should be full of knowledge and fact that will establish you as an expert in your business. This will not only help to build your consumer base it will also help to build your affiliate partner base. A neat well organized web site is a must for any online business.

5. The failure rate with Internet based affiliate marketing is very high. The unfortunate fact is, most of the failures could be avoided by simply not giving up to soon. People spend a lot of time and money trying to build their online business only to give up before it has a chance to start making them money.

Building an Internet based affiliate marketing business is going to take time. You may have small victories at first and even some small monetary gain. But, it will take time to build a serious income. Understanding that from the start is a key to success.

You should set a goal for how long you will give your new business to start seeing success. One year should be the minimum amount of time and longer would be better. Another extremely important item is to set a budget. It is very easy to spend yourself out of business and the Internet is full of businesses that will gladly help you go bankrupt.

By setting a monthly budget and firmly sticking to it you can avoid the financial mistakes that many new people make. While success may at times seem impossible, Internet based affiliate marketing continues to offer the greatest return for time and money invested. Having set goals and a set budget and by avoiding these mistakes it will definitely help to assure your success and often it will secure it much sooner than expected.

Wednesday- Adword tricks

Lets see if this helps on adword problems.

Beating Adwords

Are you using Google Adwords in your affiliate marketing efforts? Are you beating Adwords or is Adwords beating you?

Here is the most common and most gargantuan mistake I see affiliates making with Adwords.

They don't target desperate buyers! A desperate buyer is a buyer that is looking for a solution to not a small problem, but a big one...or...a problem that has to be dealt with every day or a frequent basis.

Here's an example:

If you are promoting ebooks and courses that teach people how to train their dogs, you're conversion rates are going to be horrible for keyword phrases such as:

dog training
train dog
puppy training
etc,etc

Why?

You have to ask yourself--How many people are losing sleep over "training their dog"? Probably not a whole lot. Plus, most of those folks are more than likely looking for "dog trainers" in their area.

What you need are dog owners that have problems, pains and need solutions. The bigger or more annoying or more embarassing the problem you can bet the faster that "dog owner" will pull out their wallet and credit card...and buy the solution you are recommending.

So, what is an affiliate marketer to do?

Okay, what problems may keep dog owners awake at night? How about:

dog barking
dog chewing
dog behavior problems
dog potty training (and related keywords)
dog biting

And hundreds of other variations of those type of keyword phrases are the type of phrases that are begging for a solution! These are problems that are constantly on the mind of a dog owner with a misbehaving pup.

All you need to do, is match the problem with the solution and you will really see your conversion rates soar.

Here are a few more tips that will increase your conversion rates dramatically and make you a lot more money with your adwords campaigns:

-Three and four word phrases convert twice to three times as well as one and two word phrases.

-You need to take your base keyword list and "customize" to what you are selling, for example, if you are selling "dog training videos" then your "dog potty training" keyword can become "dog potty training video". (Lower traffic, but extremely high converting.)

-You can find a lot of great converting keyword phrases right from the merchant site itself. I am amazed at how many affiliate marketers using Google Adwords have never thought of generating ideas here!

Another huge and welcome benefit is you will find your competition for these type of keyword phrases are much lower. So you will have more sales at less cost. Now that is an affiliate marketers dream!

Essential 5 Google Adword Tips to Maximise your CTR!

Tip One

Try to think like your potential customers. If you were interested in the product, service, or information found at your site, what words would you search on? Better yet ask your friends or family to tell you what they would "google" if they were interested in your particular product, service or information. Sometimes the best keywords can be found by not over thinking about your keywords.

Tip Two

Choose good keywords. Lots of people are spending good money on clicks of bad keywords. Meaning the keyword does not relate to the product, service or information found at your site. Then what happens? The person gets to your site and they leave because it's not what they are looking for. You can relate can't you? How many times have you searched for things at Google or other search engines and left the site because the site has nothing to do with the keyword you typed? Each time that happens some one is paying for the click. Don't let that be you.

Tip Three

Compete against your self. Write ads, find the one with the best CTR (Click Through Rate), then write other ads and try to beat the previous high CTR ad. Keep doing it until you find the best ad(s). Try to use your keywords in your ad, Google likes that because it makes your ad more relevant.

Tip Four

Small changes equal big results. When writing ads, try change subtle things in the ad and test using Tip Three. Sometimes switching one word for another, capitalization, the position of certain text or other small changes makes a huge difference. Sometimes the change can be one small word. So don't throw away an ad before tweaking it a bit and testing with Tip Three.

Tip Five

Track your results carefully. Google has excellent tracking but you may also look for a third party tracking services to dissect your Adword results. Try googling "Adword Tracking? that should keep you busy for a while. Keep up to date on new trends which may affect your ads both negatively and positively. Make changes to your ads to reflect these trends

Google Adwords is a great tool but like any tool you must follow the instructions to use it properly. There is a ton of information on the Google Adword site so make sure you first stop is there. It is possible to loose a lot of money with Adwords, but you can also make a lot of money or gets lots of traffic to your site with Adwords if used properly. Also read all you can about Google Adwords and apply what you have learned and back up your changes with your monitoring tools. Document your changes to see what works. Then when you have got Google figured out and apply what you have learned to the other PPC search engines, like Yahoo, MSN, ASK, etc.

Hope all the info is helpful. Thanks for reading Ricky

1. Advertising

Including advertisements on your blog is the most obvious way to derive an income from your blogging efforts. Ads can come in the form of text links or banner ads, and advertising options are available that you can easily tap into through pay-per-click, pay-per-post and affiliate programs online. Google AdSense, Amazon Associates, eBay Affiliates and Pay-Per-Post are just a few of the most common advertising programs available to bloggers.

2. Merchandise

Another simple way to monetize your blog is by selling merchandise through a service such as CafePress who will work with you to create custom items for you to sell through your blog.

3. Reviews

Bloggers can make money by reviewing products, events, businesses and more through blog posts.

4. Ebooks

A great way to bring in some revenue on your blog is by writing an ebook and offering it for sale through your blog. 5. Donations

Many bloggers add a donation button to their blogs asking readers to make a monetary donation to keep the blog alive. Donations are also solicited with clever taglines such as, "If you like this blog, why not buy me a cup of coffee?" The donation link leads the reader to another website such as PayPal where the individual can easily make their donation.

TGIF !!! How About E-Bay Selling

How about a little advice on selling on e-Bay from me ..

Selling On Ebay.com

The 9 Simple Tips to make Thousands of dollars on Ebay

Make Money Tearing Up Old Books and Magazines and Selling Them on eBay.

For the past few years I've been tearing up old books and magazines, and selling them on eBay. Other people's "rubbish" is earning me $20 a time - sometimes a great deal more - every single day!

It's an easy business and items other people throw away can attract fierce bidding and incredible profits for me and other lucky sellers. We're selling prints and advertisements, crochet and woodworking patterns, recipe books and other niche market publications, alongside hundreds more totally different items, all taken from books, magazines and newspapers that are available in profusion and cost very little.

Let's start with old prints, they're incredibly good sellers, especially popular themes like: animals, sports (especially golf and horse racing), royalty, music hall artists, topographical (named locations) and children. Very early magazines contained lots of prints, the best being Illustrated London News, The Graphic, Sketch, Sphere, and all you do is remove prints carefully, trim the rough edges, package to protect and make them more attractive, then list them on eBay.

These tips will help you get started in this hugely profitable business:

Tip 1. Frame your prints for extra add-on value. Look for old (antique and modern) picture frames at boot and garage sales, flea markets and collectors' fairs, and make a point of visiting auctions where boxes of frames can be bought at a pittance.

Tip 2. Have black and white prints and engravings hand colored and mounted or framed to increase the value of even the most common and cheapest print.

Tip 3. Give a Certificate of Authenticity. This is simply a sheet of paper, with or without decorative border, which testifies that the print is original and taken from a specific source published on a particular date. The certificate is always taped lightly to the back of the print in the mount so that it cannot be removed and added to another print obtained elsewhere.

Tip 4. Make your listing for the print descriptive and include details that are likely to attract bidders and be sure to include words they might use to find products like yours.

Tip 5. Make sure your listings include age, theme, date and source of your prints.

Tip 6. If your original book is special, say a first edition, or a limited edition, say so in your listing. To people viewing your listings it might make the difference between a sale and giving your product the miss.

Tip 7. Take great care removing prints from publications. We tend to open the book midway and fold it back on itself, making it very easy to break or weaken the spine and therefore loosen the pages.

Tip 8. A great place to get quality mounts very inexpensively is on eBay itself. Go to the search facility, request a search for items locally (so many available it isn't worth looking long distance), and use keywords like: "mounts", "photo mounts", and wait for a nice selection of suppliers to appear, some selling items by auction, others offering "Buy It Now".

Tip 9. When you find a good supplier stick to that person and even buy their items outside of eBay without breaking eBay's rules of course. There's more to it than just prints, you have the pick of dozens of different products to sell, all from old books and magazines, and just a few minutes easy work. Did I say "work", this isn't work, this is exciting stuff!

Please use common sense and have fun!!!!! yea baby..... Ricky

Article Writing , Easy, right???

Lets talk article writing. Just a simple thing , right????????

Article Writing

Drive Massive Traffic with Article Marketing

Article marketing is a form on online advertising. Basically, you write short articles about anything related to what you are trying to promote. After completing the piece, you have to make it available for distribution and publication in article directories, in the company website and even on someone else's site.

As a rule, each completed article contains a resource box which contains vital information like: the name of the author, a very brief background of the author, and contact information of the author, etc.

Essentials Of Article Marketing

1. Write Quality Articles

Quality content is still the best way to make article marketing work. You should remember that more than a million people log on to the Internet daily; and a good percentage of them post article after article about almost any topic.

When you write an article, try to incorporate all the information your potential reader may need or want. Internet users usually seek out valuable information like the ones that can help them solve their problems. If you can, write and post articles that have the same theme or subject of interest; and write as many articles as you can. This is a way of building up your reputation among your readers. Given time, (and if your articles are interesting enough,) you just may develop a following of readers who are interested in reading what you have to say.

2. Craft The Perfect Resource Box

As mentioned earlier, when you market your article, you should always have a resource box. Now, this is really important. This is the one place that can literally point your readers to your website. Here is how you should craft a perfect resource box:

The first thing that your readers should find in your resource box is your name and title, but more often than not, its just the name that people scout around for.

Do not forget to type in correctly your website address after your name.

After this, there is the compulsory USP or unique selling proposition: this is comprised of 1 to 3 brief and concise sentences as to what more you can possibly offer your readers.

Finally, you lead your readers into a call of action. This means that you are asking them to do one specific action: particularly asking them to visit your website.

3. Submit Your Articles

Obviously, submitting your article for publication is important, but where do you send them? The easiest choice is to send them to article directories or acquire article distribution services. Submission to article directories is mostly free, and these directories will allow you to add links to your website. Article distribution services have varying fees, but they allow your piece to be posted in more sites than article directories.

I hope this helps ...... Ricky

Domain Names

Domain Names... Lets talk a little on this>>!!!!

Get Traffic Using Expired Domains

You may think that all great -- even single-worded -- domain names are taken? What you are about to learn is something truly amazing.

For a long time, one of the keys to becoming successful online was, dare I say it, sheer luck -- the luck in successfully finding, registering and promoting a good, memorable and compelling domain name

Over 20,000 domain names expire everyday and can be used by others. You may see a list of some right now by visiting:

http://shurl.org/expired-domains

If you want more hits or want to resell the domains for profit, these expired ones can be a valuable resource.

But before taking it over, you surely would like to know how many people have owned it before and the reasons for giving it up, right?

Well, an expired domain may have been used by one or more persons in the past. They may have designed a website, advertised it, linked it to search engines, done business deals on it and even had reciprocal link connections with other websites.

The reasons for expiry of domain name may be :

1. Loss of interest of owner

2. Closing down of business

3. Registration was not renewed on time

4. The fees was unaffordable There may have been any of the aforementioned reasons or any other cause, but whatever the case, the domain is now an available option for you.

You can use it by designing a website on it or you may link it to your existing website.

The benefits of finding a great expired domain name are phenomenal.

1. You'll have an asset worth more than it's weight in gold.

A short, sharp and snappy domain not only provides you with a prestigious brand and online presence, but gives you a significant return on investment in the worth of a domain.

2. You could be sitting on a goldmine

Once you've registered the domain, it's yours to use or sell as you please. With a number of domain auction sites on the 'Net, it's now easy to showcase a valuable domain and sell it for hundreds, even thousands of dollars, if the domain hits the right market.

You could easily make a comfortable (if not outrageous) living in buying and selling domains alone... Thousands are already doing it. I mean, have you ever heard of a 10,000% profit margin?

3. Establish a distinctive, professional and memorable Internet presence.

Even if you don't care about buying and selling domains, or investing in "digital real estate," you owe it to yourself (and your website) to have an attractive .com address that will pull tons of qualified traffic!

A short, memorable and magnetic domain name provides the ultimate vehicle for branding, and sticks in the mind of your prospects like glue. On the other hand however, a long, unattractive name will kill your professionalism even before it even has a chance to grow.

A great domain name gives you instant credibility!

4. And finally, it could provide you with instant traffic!

This is probably the best benefit of all four!

If someone previously registered the domain that's now available to you, chances are the domain was once home to an active website. The owner probably started an affiliate program, spent money on directing traffic to their site and got linked from all around the world.

All that time, effort and money spent in marketing the website was already made by the previous owner. So now, that website could probably be enjoying a really good source of targeted traffic. The same traffic source will now be yours, FREE of charge.

It is not possible to know the exact amount to expired traffic to a particular domain. However, the analysis of some specific aspects lets you gauge the amount of expired traffic.

They are as follows :

LINK POPULARITY

This will give you an estimate of the number of portals or web pages that are linked to the expired domain. The more the number of links, the higher is the possibility of future traffic.
Also, a higher link popularity betters the probability of quality traffic.

ALEXA RANK

An Alexa toolbar keeps tabs on the number of hits for a domain and then awards a rank based on this. If the site has had no traffic for the past three months, it is automatically dropped by Alexa. So, look for an Alexa rank to get an idea about the number of visits and the domain's worth.
To give you a rough idea, an Alexa rank of about 100,000 means that the domain receives at least 2 hits a day. A rank higher than 1,000,000 discloses that the domain hardly ever receives any visits.

GOOGLE PAGERANK

The popularity of a domain is ranked on a scale of 1 to 10 and this is called a Google PageRank. This ranking system takes into account the number of quality web pages that contain links to a specific domain name. A Google toolbar is required to obtain a Google PageRank.

You can type in the website name in the address bar of your browser and get the PageRank.

YAHOO AND DMOZ LISTINGS

A domain owner may have been included in search engines. He may have paid for registrations on search engines like Yahoo and LookSmart. A domain also may have been approved by a Dmoz editor.

If you take over a domain, these listings are automatically transferred to you. You can do your own research by visiting these search engines and typing the full URL in the directories section. Your results page will show you whether the domain is listed with them or not.

An inclusion in the top search engines does not ensure continuous visits but it certainly increases the chances of receiving worthy traffic. If you do not want to use the domains yourself, you can easily turn it around and sell it.

It will certainly be profitable if the domain is registered with the top ten search engines. We publish a list of expiring domains that is updated daily. There are tools to assist you to carry out an easy and hassle-free research absolutely FREE. Acquiring expired domains is an inexpensive way of increasing visitors to your website. Many Netpreneurs acquire expired domains at:

http://shurl.org/expired-domains.

A HELPFUL TIP: Always try and get a domain that is related to the type of visitors required by you. If you want webmaster visits, go for relevant a domain name and not one that appeals to travel enthusiasts.

Internet prospectors and web builders have been snapping up expired domains quicker than Burger King serves hamburgers. Now is the time to get involved and start turning mere pennies into mountains of profits!

Hope that is helpful to all..

Ways To Help Make Money

I have some info you may enjoy.!

Thats all for now Ricky
